1. About Lifeshare

Lifeshare.ie ("Lifeshare", "we", "us") is operated by Quantum Touch Limited, a company registered in Ireland. Lifeshare is an introduction service that connects commuters travelling on similar routes. We do not arrange, dispatch, operate, or charge for transport services.

2. What Lifeshare Is — and Is Not

Lifeshare facilitates introductions between commuters who may wish to share journeys on a cost-sharing basis. Lifeshare is not a transport operator, taxi service, dispatch service, or ride-hailing platform. We do not:

All travel arrangements are made privately between users. Lifeshare has no involvement in or responsibility for those arrangements once an introduction has been made.

3. Cost-Sharing — The Legal Position

Lifeshare exists to support genuine cost-sharing between commuters. Under Irish transport law, cost-sharing (where a driver receives contributions that do not exceed their actual journey costs — fuel, tolls, and reasonable vehicle wear) does not constitute commercial passenger transport and does not require a Small Public Service Vehicle (SPSV) licence.

Users must not use Lifeshare to offer or solicit transport for profit. Any contribution towards a shared journey must not exceed the driver's actual costs for that journey. Users who use the platform for commercial purposes will have their accounts terminated.

4. User Responsibilities

By using Lifeshare, you confirm that:

5. Employer Verification

Where you register with a work email address, Lifeshare may display your employer name and a verification badge. This is used solely to build trust between commuters. Lifeshare does not share your email address with other users, and employer verification does not constitute an endorsement by your employer.

6. Contact and Communication

When you choose to contact another user, you will be redirected to WhatsApp or SMS. Your phone number becomes visible to the other user. Lifeshare does not monitor or store messages exchanged outside the platform.

7. Safety and Reporting

Lifeshare provides a reporting mechanism for safety concerns. Reports are retained under legal hold. Lifeshare cooperates fully with An Garda Síochána in the event of a serious incident.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Irish law, Lifeshare shall not be liable for any loss, injury, damage, or expense arising from any journey arranged between users, the conduct of any user, any vehicle incident, or any dispute regarding contributions.

9. Data Protection

Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Notice and the GDPR.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
